Corridor Key is a free online AI green screen keyer that removes and replaces the background in short video clips. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

What We Collect

We collect minimal data:

1. Video Clips You Upload

   • Video clips are sent to a third-party AI model (hosted on Hugging Face Spaces, specifically the innova-ai/video-background-removal Space, which runs the open-source BiRefNet model) for processing.
   • Clips are processed in real-time. The original upload and the returned MP4 are not stored on our servers. Hugging Face's own retention and processing terms apply while the clip is on their infrastructure — see their policies linked below.
   • Because video is a more sensitive medium than still images, we recommend not uploading clips that contain faces of minors, biometric identifiers, or other content you would not publish publicly.

2. Basic Usage Data

   • We use analytics tools (Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity) to understand how visitors use our site.
   • This includes anonymous data like page views, browser type, device type, and geographic region.
   • No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

3. Cookies

   • We use minimal cookies for language preferences and basic site functionality.
   • Analytics cookies used by Google Analytics and Clarity are anonymous and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not require account registration.
• We do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information.
• We do not store your uploaded video clips on our own servers.
• We do not store the keyed MP4 outputs (they are delivered directly to your browser for download).
• We do not sell any data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

Corridor Key uses the following third-party services:

• Hugging Face Spaces: For AI model processing (video background removal and compositing). Clips are sent to Hugging Face for processing and are subject to Hugging Face's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare: For hosting and CDN services.
• Google Analytics: For anonymous usage statistics.
• Microsoft Clarity: For anonymous behavior analytics.

The processing Space (innova-ai/video-background-removal) is open-source and built on the MIT-licensed BiRefNet model. If the upstream Space becomes unavailable, we may route processing to a functionally equivalent replacement Space. This policy covers that arrangement.

Data Security

We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. Since we do not retain your uploaded clips, keyed outputs, or personal data on our servers, the risk of data breaches affecting your content on our side is minimal. Data-in-transit to and from Hugging Face is encrypted; retention on Hugging Face's side is governed by their policy.

Children's Privacy

Corridor Key is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Do not upload video of minors without the consent of their parent or legal guardian.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
